Treyarch said that certain features like Pack-a-Punch machine, power-up drops, the mystery box, and some classic Perks will return.
The 4 player Co-Op mode also marks a return. Players will yield Cold War era weapons as they battle hordes of zombies. There rivals are the Soviet’s Omega group. Players will be members of the Requiem group with links to the CIA. The new map features a graffiti-laden, boarded-up bunker. With the other two forms still unrevealed, it will be interesting to see their purpose.The new mode pays homage to the Nacht der Untoten, the original Zombies map featured in Call of Duty: World at War.
One of the upgrades for the CRBR-S is also shown, which sees three explosive rounds flying towards a group of Zombies. In the default state, the CRBR-S is a fully automatic pistol, with a circular device rotating above the gun. Likely pronounced “Cerberus” due to the three additional barrels for the gun, the weapon boasts a unique design. The real star of the show is Mauer Der Toten’s Wonder Weapon, the CRBR-S. An AI bot that roams the map and fights the undead with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players, it will likely have similar functionality to the Civil Protector and Keeper Protector from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It seems like gamers will not be fighting alone, though, as an ally named Klaus can be activated. The city itself looks like it will be a lot of fun to traverse, too, as Treyarch does a fine job capturing a version of Berlin filled with the undead. It will be interesting to see where the subway leads, as getting across seems difficult. However, they eventually find themselves trapped between two subway cars, fighting the undead in a tight space in between. At first, they avoid death at the hands of one of these transports, with some Zombies getting smashed instead. In the footage, a Requiem agent can be seen attempting to cross the tracks as a tram approaches. Players get a good look at Mauer Der Toten’s subway in the trailer, a feature that will likely bring them a lot of stress.
